August 7th Chehalis Washington will be revving with the throaty sounds of engines of all kinds! From muscle cars to vintage planes, and from a four-ton Steam locomotive, to an elegant Tour‘d Concourse Bugatti, Chehalis will be the center of everything transportation. Thousands of visitors from the northwest will gather throughout the Rose City to view, ride, eat, shop, dance and enjoy the gleam of chrome in the sunshine.

The Chehalis Planes, Trains, and Automobiles has been enjoyed under other themes over the last several decades, but this year it comes together as the extravaganza it was meant to be, celebrating everything that rolls, cruises, flies, chugs, roars, tools and purrs!

Air Fair The Chehalis Centralia Airport will host the Air Fair that will showcase many aircraft of different vintages and styles to examine and view, pilots and knowledgeable volunteers to answer questions, and the popular Young Eagles program will host airplane rides for youth to spark a youngster’s passion for flight.

Steam Train  The Centralia Chehalis Railroad and Museum will transport riders along a journey through the Boistfort Valley on their Vintage Steam powered Locomotive. The Port of Chehalis will acknowledge the community with “Community Appreciation Days” providing a limited number of free tickets to ride the rails. The scenic trip takes riders along 9 miles of rail line through scenic hills, farmland, and over beautiful wooden trestles. There are very few experiences like this anywhere, so you will not want to miss it.

Classic Car Show The heart of Historic Downtown Chehalis will be the hub of food, shopping and sites! Downtown is the location for the Chariots Car Show, a gathering of the all-time classic autos of the past. You’ll marvel at the detail and creativity that is shown by these car collectors. Downtown will also be the center of other planned events for the day. Craft Vendors, food vendors and fantastic live entertainment on the stage will keep you satisfied all day! Along with sidewalk sales, drawings and other events, there will be fun children’s activities all day as well.

The Foreign Auto Show and Slow-Cross Rally will be held south of Chehalis at the Port of Chehalis Industrial Park. These exotic autos are rare and beautiful, and not-to-be-missed. This may be a one-of-a-kind- opportunity to see some of these truly rare automobiles.

Motorcycles The home for Harley’s and the base for BMW’s will be at the Yard Birds Mall in North Chehalis. Motorcycles of all descriptions will be gathered inside and out, along with food and product vendors, live music and entertainment.
